Elder and poet Ed Edmo of the Shoshone-Bannock tribe will formally and fully recognize the area's indigenous people in this first-ever Land Acknowledgement for Lit Crawl Portland and Portland Book Festival. Edmo will be joined by indigenous writers including Heid E. Erdrich, Terese Marie Mailhot, and Tommy Orange. Following the Acknowledgement, poets Laura 'Da of the Eastern Shawnee and Trevino L.
